Underground Survival: Aid Delivered in the Heart of Haifa

2025-07-03

Families slept underground on concrete during the Iran-Israel war. We brought relief: mattresses, clothing, and hope when it mattered most.

During the twelve-day Iran-Israel war, sirens echoed across the country, but in downtown Haifa, the fear hit differently. Many neighborhoods lack proper bomb shelters. Families from already struggling backgrounds were left with nowhere to run.

Some took refuge three floors underground, in a damp, foul-smelling parking garage. Night after night, they slept on concrete, hoping it would shield them from missiles.

Together with a local partner, the Joseph Project International stepped in with emergency relief: mattresses, clean clothing, and children's activities. It wasn't a solution, but it was a lifeline.

Thank you to everyone who helped us make a difference.

"I will bless those who bless you." Genesis 12:3
